K38 ryhn and shawn
Rhyn Noll, one of my favorite students and a dear friend. He hails from Crescent City California, with his mom Beverely, a distinguished family of seasoned oceanologists, who fished, surfed, explored life and celebrate the surfing culture of a cold california coast, but a rugged and magisty of a surfing heritage! Pic taken of me and Ryhn at the Nelscott Tow in Class in Lincoln City Oregon, 2008
K38 bars
Pic that Ben Granata snapped at the Marin Headlands, on our tourist day at the Golden Gate Bridge. The city of San Francisco loomed across the bay, we spent time in contemplative thought after finishing our instructor course in the Sierra foothills. A nice break to smell the ocean again and the bite of the cold fro the Pacific.
Sekkana Gallery
Setsuko Oshiro from the Gallery Sekkana. Scott and his wife brought me to her location, and I left with art scultped by her hands. She's also an accomplished photographer. I loved her creative spirit.

We had coffee and enjoyed her creations that were nestled amongst the eating area of the restraunt. Across the street was the PEACE memorial which really make me think about the human condition.
Okinawa is a lovely place, ask me how I know?
K38 Okinawa
The seawall along the coast had some really great graffitti, I couldn't resist admiring the tremendous artwork. My mother was a muralist so this kind of wall scrawl to me is fantastic as long as it's placed in areas that create no harm, its pretty groovy.
Can't Resist
Hanging out with the USMC Fire Rescue guys in Okinawa as the sun sets, the PWC's get loaded and its' off to sushi!
K38 Surfriends
XXL Big Wave Awards after event heat fest..the temperatures soared in heat waves and we all melted after the celebration. Shaniah attached herself to the Irish Team. Al Mennie, Shinn in the middle and Cotty take a break before the barbecue as Pancho Villa shucks a few pets.
K38: The Buck Stops Here
Brazilan colors were flying high as award nominees Carlos Burle and Maya Gabeira hit the deck flying at the XXL Big Wave Awards. Maya took home top honors along with Burle.
